INTRODUCTION TO FOLIUM OPTICS
Folium Optics was founded in 2013 with the aim to consult, develop and exploit optics, plastic electronics, and plastic displays, particularly highly reflective, ultra low power colour systems.
We have developed a process, know-how, and patent portfolio, and have experience in fabrication from sub-micron devices, to IoT systems, in commercial, healthcare and defence sectors.
In 2019 the company shifted its emphasis from in-house development and fabrication to consultancy after the successful sale of part of its IP portfolio, and we continue to help our customers in the UK and across the globe. We are now based at the Bristol and Bath Science Park.
Folium Optics is currently working on projects which range from optical design, microfluidic systems and gas detection, as well as display technology and IoT systems.
Our public portfolio shows previous projects in areas as diverse as laser dazzle protection, medicine reminder tags, and smart labelling. If you'd like to see more then please click here.
